I really wanted to refrain from commenting on the whole Ferguson situation in my music because I didn’t want to be an artist riding the wave of a national tragedy to gain notoriety. However, after some recent correspondence between myself and a Caucasian associate of mine, I felt the need to get some things off of my chest. I love all people of all races, and am in no way prejudice. However, I refuse to pretend that the racism and prejudice in my country against African Americans does not exist.
