LGBTUDRGRD: Hi how are you both doing?
YC/T: Pretty great E!
LGBTUDRGRD: Can you introduce yourself to our readers?
YC: Of course Yung Crusay, rap artist and entertainment label owner
Tangeray: I’m Tangeray Scott (pronounced Tan-jer-ay), a model from Detroit,MI.
LGBTUDRGRD: Yung Crusay what made you go from making music to setting up a modeling company ?
YC: Well, Dirty Bizness Ent (the label i own) isn’t just a music company. I previously had a modeling group called Dirty Girl and this time I decided to jump back into the modeling game with a different swag.
LGBTUDRGRD: When and why did you get started in modelling? Was it for the glamor? The money? Pure kicks?
T: I started modeling in 2009. My beautiful grandmother inspired me. She modeled when she was younger and it inspired me to do the same. I am interested in the glamour part of modeling, due to working with makeup and skincare daily.
LGBTUDRGRD: Tangeray how did you get to hooked up with Yung Crusay and her Company Dirty Biz?
T: We met through mutual friends. After discussing my goals and dreams, we decided to collaborate and make things happen!
LGBTUDRGRD: Who are some of your favorite models and designers, and why?
T: My favorite models are Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell, and Selita E Banks. As far as designers, I love Michael Costello, Givenchy, and Chanel.
LGBTUDRGRD: Which fashion magazines, websites, blogs, and catalogs do you visit most often?
T: I usually use my Polyvore fashion app, and read magazines like Sports Illustrated and Vogue.
LGBTUDRGRD: What do you want to achieve with your model Tangeray?
YC: The stars man! [laughs] I want her to become the definition of a Super Model. She already has people that look up to her, and I want her to continue to grow into the model I know she can be.
LGBTUDRGRD: How would you describe your style and Where do you generally shop?
T: My style is determined by my mood. However I feel is usually how I dress. As far as shopping, I shop everywhere! I love LOVE finding new boutiques and shops.
LGBTUDRGRD: do you plan on using your model in any new up & coming videos, what’s new on the music front?
YC: Definitely! As the perfect business partner we’re like business Bonnie & Clyde so, she’s for sure going to be in my upcoming videos. As far as the music front… Since all went well at SXSW, I’ve been performing more, I have a different & new fan base that I am attracting, so its motivated me to make a move or two. Just remember: I work harder when the leaves start to turn colors.
LGBTUDRGRD: What is fun and rewarding about modelling?
T: The fun part is expressing my self and also seeing people express themselves. When working with different photographers I get a chance to see and experience the world from their view.
LGBTUDRGRD: What do you dislike about modelling?
T: Honestly nothing. I love everything about it!
LGBTUDRGRD: Are you recruiting right now?
YC: Right now I’m really focused on developing Tangeray and getting myself on a
different level as an artist and an entrepreneur. We have people being added to the Dirty Bizness staff, but I’m focused on me and my business partner.
LGBTUDRGRD: What advice do you have for other aspiring models?
YC: Shoot for the moon and pray u hit the stars. Be you, and you can definitely get far.
T: Never give up! Whatever you desire to do, do it and be original. Just be yourself!
LGBTUDRGRD: What distinguishes a good model from a bad one?
T: There is no good or bad model.
YC: I agree with her. I just add that when it comes to anything you do, make sure that it’s the correct path.
LGBTUDRGRD: How has modeling changed other aspects of your life?
T: It has changed the way I see myself. It’s taught me to love and accept me the way that God created me!
LGBTUDRGRD: What sets your company apart from the rest?
YC: Dirty Bizness Entertainment is more than just a label or a brand, its a launching pad. I’ve had artists that have gone from rapping and singing in my closet studio to singing on records for Rap-A-Lot. I’ve even helped develop and put out records of some of your favorite lesbian rappers, and that has been my goal. I’ve always wanted to take any type of talent and help them develop into a bigger product. I figure, I’ve already been through the trenches, I’m on my 11th year, and I’m only getting better as a businesswoman so, DBE can only get better.
LGBTUDRGRD: Do you have a fitness regime?
T: I’m more into health than fitness. I believe in eating healthy and clean.
LGBTUDRGRD: What are your goals and what do you hope to accomplish with Dirty Business Ent?
YC: My goal is to inspire other people like my grandmother did me. I plan to grow in the industry with Dirty Bizness and learn from every experience.
LGBTUDRGRD: Last but not least, any shout outs?
YC: Just you E, man. Thank you for the work you continue to put into LGBT Underground. Some of us would still be local talent if it wasn’t for this site.
