Born Katanya L. Myers, this young lady hails from the Queen City of Plainfield, NJ. Since the age of 2yrs old she’s been showcasing her vocal talents in church & family events. At the age of 12yrs old she started writing her own poetry & lyrics performing in local talent shows in her city & writing for local recording studios. Now doing a combination of singing & rapping she’s well on her way to being what the industry has been missing from a female artist. KayTee (which is a longtime childhood nickname) states “MC’s seem to be too focused on punch lines, what happened to the storytellers? I wanna be able to give you a combination & still be relevant.” KayTee released her 1st Solo Mixtape at the top of the New Year titled “Dat Ol Thang Back” which is already creating a buzz on such sites as Datpiff.com & ThatCrack.com. She says “It’s a slow grind but im confident it will reach the right people who hopefully wanna bring dat ol thang back too lol.” Other projects/features with KayTee are “Mr. & Mrs. Hitz Mixtape” featured on DatPiff.com, Chanj “in the name of …YOU Mixtape”, Ghetto Pros “Divas Of Hip Hop” featured on ThatCrack.com, & most recently “Females Of The Rap Game (We Got Lyrics Too) Mixtape.
